My Voice
I have a rich, low, natural RP voice. Thanks to teaching and my father's lack of hearing AND having a rather large family my voice is also naturally loud; I have little difficulty projecting over large spaces. This has come in handy when performing in outdoor productions but also for calling dogs across fields.
I have always wanted to perform on radio having been brought up listening to comedy programmes on radio 4 like - Round the Horne - and - The Goons - . In fact I can do a wonderful 'Bluebottle' and many of Betty Marsden's characters. This talent was not always fully appreciated by my peers at school who had never heard of either show but did start me using my voice to make weird and wonderful characters.
The versatility of my voice helps me to realise my desire to tell stories and that is really all I have ever wanted to do; just tell stories.
