My New Website!

Having spent the larger part of a day trawling through endless websites for website builders I finally came upon one that sort of made me not look like a completely untrained computer novice, which I most certainly am. GCSE IT on an acorn computer with little or no internet access and a piece of database coursework based around the 5 Nation Rugby teams (that is correct 5...I am old) does not a website designer make but needs must and all that...

Anyway, rather excitingly the website also includes a Blog. This gives me the perfect opportunity to write, which I really enjoy and someone might actually deign to read it. So here we are on the 4th of January, Christmas behind us and a New Year just freshly started and my first Blog post. Oh the limitless opportunities that await in 2017!

This year I have promised myself, faithfully, to actually publish/show/give my writing to an audience. Yes, this will mean some properly concentrated work but only writing and saving things on my laptop is not exactly putting my head above the parapet. Seriously, I have a book, 2 plays and a one woman show that need finishing. (Here is a picture of writing just in case you had forgotten)

So writing is going to happen! (She raises her fists to the sky to show just how terribly serious she is about all this)

Unfortunately my knee is doing it's swollen best to fall off. I am limping and using a stick pretty much every month and the pain is appalling but, thankfully, I am now on the road to another op (number 4) so all is well. This sounds rather blase but quite honestly my left knee is just something that I have to put up with. I think of it as a rather over wrought toddler that I have to take with me everywhere; it's incredibly annoying, I have no choice but to live with it, care for it and I can't leave it anywhere. However (ever the optimist) it does mean that I have to do something whilst not running my usual 3 marathons a day and that, dear reader, is to write.

So I will leave you with all my best wishes for the new year and I hope that 2017 maybe filled with joy, love and peace for all. If that turns out not to be the case I will always be here with chocolate, tissues and open ears.
